Darylynn’s Homework
Due Date: Wednesday, October 25- “for one more day.” For One More Day is the new novel by Mitch Albom, author of The Five People You Meet in Heaven and Tuesday’s with Morrie. It explores the question: What if you had one more day with someone you’d lost? Who would it be? What would you do?

This is a very emotional subject for me. My ” for one more day” would be with my Mother.
We were as close as girlfriends, a day did not go by that we did not talk on the phone at least 3 or 4 times a day. She was only 62 when she passed away on March 14th, 1993 from a big hard fight with Cancer. She passed away about 6 weeks after Justin her Great Grandson was born and I am so grateful that she was able to hold him. I have missed her everyday since then!
“what would I do ?” I would love to take her over to my son’s house Paul to spend time with her Grandson Paul and Great Grandson Justin. She would be so proud of Paul and all that he has accomplished. When we went on our family cruise last June I knew that my Mom would of been with us on it if she were still alive. I thought of her alot while on the cruise. It would of been 4 generations of Lowenthal’s. I was a single Mother and lived with my Mother & Father until Paul was 12 years old, so my parents were like parents to him! My Mother when she was a young adult was a showgirl and a singer. She followed her dream to New York where she met my Father and then she gave that career up.She was very beautiful! Here are some pictures of my Mother & one of my Mother and I together.
