A New Week Ahead! |
|
This last weekend was uneventful compared to the weekend before in Palm Springs and at the kids house. Saturday it rained most of the day while I was inside until I had to go to work a 3:30. I decided to hold off on using my new steam cleaner until we have a sunny day so the carpet will dry faster. I pretty much got caught up on all my recorded shows in my DVR and still have not watched my 2 Netflix DVD’s, I think I might go back to one at a time now for awhile. Sunday of course the Oscars were on I watched all the Red Carpet coverage at the Hospital and then the Oscars that started at 5:30 until I left at 6:30. I met Chris at her house and she followed me to the body shop to drop my car off which is very close to her house in Toluca Lake. She then took me to the Burbank airport to pick up my little rental car. They said it would take 3 days to fix my cars bumper so I reserved the rental until Wednesday night. I rushed home and had a late dinner of a stuffed chicken breast with cheese and asparagus with a small salad and watched the rest of the Oscars. I was very happy with Jeff Bridges winning Best Actor for Crazy Heart and Best Actress Sandra Bullock. But I am really thrilled that for the first time ever a woman won for Best Director, Kathryn Bigelow for The Hurt Locker. And the Best Movie was The Hurt Locker!! It is about time a woman shines in that catagory!

Hi Dru! Yes, somebody goofed not including Farrah. Too bad because she got overshadowed when she died, too. I need to get out our carpet cleaner. I ejected a DVD in the baby room and it knocked my coffee over onto the carpet. What a mess. Glad your car will be fixed in 3 days. (((Hugz)))

Hi Dru;
I too was happy with the Oscar winners and would you believe I had never heard of The Hurt Locker before the nominees were announced! You can bet I’ll be getting that dvd soon.
I took the quiz and find I’m a “doer” too.
Have a lovely evening my friend. Hugs

You crave intellectual stimulation. You are drawn to a philosophical way of life.
this is not a big surprise since I am a crafter. LOL!
