The Runaways in Concert |
Boy did our weather change. We had temps in the 80’s for over a week and when I woke up yesterday morning it was cool and overcast. I had to shut all my windows again. It was in the high 60’s yesterday and today it is suppose to rain and snow in our local mountains. Of course I got my car washed Monday but that is OK it was pretty filthy anyway.

Check Engine! |
I did not go to work yesterday because my “check engine” light came on Sunday night. My car was running fine but I drive to far to work to take any chances of having car trouble on the freeway. So I took it in first thing to some great mechanics that are walking distance from my house. There was a leak in one of the many vaccum hoses that are attached to your cars engine which they replaced and it did not cost very much at all. He used a hose he had instead of ordering one from Ford that would of been triple the price and take 3 days to get it. I am very happy with their service. I got my little Ford Focus in 2002 on my son’s insistance that they are great cars. I have always had german cars like BMW’s, Audi’s and VW Passat’s and with plenty of pricey repairs on all of them, let me tell you. This car has given me no trouble in the 8 years I have had it and I am at 137,000 miles now. After my car was fixed around 1:00 PM I enjoyed the rest of the day off work. I went to the mall to check out some new capri pants and found some great fitting ones that I got in 4 colors, black, sand, white and a faded blue. They were on sale too. We had another day in the 80’s again yesterday so it was really nice to be off work enjoying it. I also got my car washed even though I heard we might be getting rain on Wednesday and Thursday.

Jam Packed Weekend! |
Friday night at 12:25 AM after work I met up with Joe, Daniel and Rissa to see “Hot Tub Time Machine” and we laughed our you know what’s off. The plot: Four friends travel to a ski resort to have fun. When they jump into a hot tub, they realize they’re transported back to 1986. Then chaos ensues. My thoughts are that it doesn’t exactly take viewers on a memorable ride, but to tell you the truth, I found it hard not to enjoy the comedy’s fast pace and brainless but generally light humor. “Time Machine” is not last year’s “The Hangover,” but in terms of entertainment, it was really a fun ride.

“Hot Tub Time Machine” |
Even though this is a working weekend for me I am ready for the change in jobs. My weekend plans start tonight after work at the Hospital at midnight I am going to see “Hot Tub Time Machine” at 12:25 AM at the Burbank AMC theater. It looks like a fun movie with John Cusack. Tomorrow before work I have a baby shower to go to at 1:00. A gal at my full time job has a daughter who is having a little boy in April so she invited a few employees from work to her shower. So that will be fun. It is my first baby shower in years. I will stay until about 2:30 then head to work at the Hospital. Now on Sunday’s I usually work the 10-6:30 shift. The gal that works the 3:30-12 shift has a vacation day so I asked to work her shift so I can sleep in a little on Sunday and none of my shows are on Sunday night anyway all reruns. So Sunday I just plan to sleep in and clean a little before work at 3:30. Next weekend I am off for 3 1/2 days from both jobs.
