I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I watched all my recorded shows and out of all the new ones I really like FastForward a lot. I went to Pavillion’s and got my flu shot and they gave me a 10% off my groceries which was nice. I get a flu shot every year and usually for free at the hospital but since they are not offering them until next week I did not want to wait. A few people have been sick around me, Justin and a 2 co-workers. I swear by the shots, ever since I have been getting them 8 years ago I have not been sick at all with anything. I will get the new vaccine coming out for the swine flu next month too. It can’t hurt to be prepared. *update* Justin tested positive for the swine flu they called last night. He is better and still going to go to school again today.The Dr. told Lisa to tell him to try not to be around anyone he knows is sick, to prevent getting reinfected, other than that he is fine! My fingers are crossed here that I don’t get anykind of flu at all.

It is amazing to me how kids can bounce right back after being sick in bed with the flu. Justin woke up yesterday feeling good and went to school. He had been in bed all Friday afternoon and all day Saturday by Sunday he was up playing Play Station games and watched the new season of Amazing Race. I watched Desperate Housewives and Cold Case. I have so much recorded to watch today while I am at home. Lisa and I went shopping yesterday. I got 3 really cute pairs of corduroy pants at Coldwater Creek in brown, black & dark green. I am all set for Fall now! We also went to Costco which is right by their mall so today I have only a few things to get at Pavilion’s. I have a free day to relax with Billy Elliott and Sam. Believe it or not Paul will be in town today with Jay they are wiring Chris’s house for Direct TV, she is getting rid of her cable TV and going with satellite. Paul is doing all the wiring which will save her a bundle. She is lucky she has such a great SIL. As I am lucky to have him as a son! We will be meeting up for dinner tonight. Most likely Tallyrand Jay was so impressed with the turkey dinner he had last week.

I had a great time at the kids house the last 4 days. I will be heading home tonight after dinner. Friday night we went to Mariachi’s for Mexican food with a large group of people. Saturday poor Justin was not feeling well so Lisa and I took him to Urgent Care and he has the flu, 101 temperature sore throat, stuffy nose and body aches. He was given a prescription of Tamiflu and told to take Tylenol for the fever. By Sunday he was feeling better but he took it easy. I have never seen Justin sick before so it was sort of odd to see him this way. We all went swimming on Sunday and I picked up filet mignon’s to BBQ for dinner and we had baked potatoes and a big green salad, my last food for 24 hours I might add for Yom Kippur. Today Lisa and I are going shopping and tonight I will break my fast at the kids house and head back to “Casa Dru” I am not sure what I will break the fast with yet but I am leaning towards going to Pick Up Stix and getting Chinese?!?

I got my house all in order last night. I always have to have a extra clean house whenever I go away for any period of time. All I usually come back to is a lot of cat hair and hopefully no fur balls thrown up on the floor or on my bed!! I watched The Good Wife, Survivor, CSI Las Vegas and The Mentalist last night. I recorded Fringe which is like an X-Files type show. When I come home Monday night I will have s-load of TV shows to catch up on. I am leaving today at 12:00 from work which is about 20 minutes closer to their house! I have a glorious 4 1/2 days off. Sunday at sundown is Yom Kippur I fast every year for 24 hours. I can eat at sundown on Monday which I will do and then drive home and have a nice relaxing evening and day off at “Casa Dru” I am not sure what is up this weekend at the kids house? A lot of swimming I am sure and maybe a little shopping with Lisa.
