Weekend Plans?

 emoticon emoticon emoticon

Last night after I got off work at 4:30, I rushed over and got my car washed. That was all I did last night except cook chicken fajitas for dinner and watch my new Netflix DVD Revolutionary Road, and that movie was a bit depressing to me. Great acting by Leonardo and Kate Winslet tho.

Spinal Headaches!

 emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Paul came into town yesterday and he will be here until this afternoon. This is the first time he has been back since his hospital stay. He is doing much better, the spinal headaches he was suffering from the spinal tap procedure are subsiding, they say it takes about 10 days when they do that procedure. It was very hard for Paul because he is always doing something either around the house or on the computer for his business or working on Chris’s properties. He would get the headaches and have to lay down, then they would go away and come back again. He is down to about 1 headache a day now he said. We went out to dinner last night at our favorite place Tallyrand. The first time in weeks again since I have been there. And like Darylynn once made a comment that they greet me like they did “NORM” in the TV show Cheers when I come in. They so seldom see me now that I am preparing my own food at home. I had my favorite Karen’s Special salad, chicken strips, tomatoes, red onion and toasted pecans tossed in their homemade ranch dressing w/cranberry nut muffin, warm freshly baked. It was fabulous!

He told me he was enjoying it even tho they also had them cleaning bathrooms and washing the fire truck.

A Bit Weird?

 emoticon emoticon emoticon

It felt a bit weird to be at the Hospital on a weekday so early. The calls are different by far. It actually felt like a new job! I am liking it though. I actually had to park in the employee parking structure. I had been parking out front or “shhhh” in parking spots around the outside of the Hospital that they don’t seem to care that you park there after hours and on weekends, but I could not get away with working these hours. So this was the second time in 6 years I had parked in the employee parking structure way in the back of the Hospital. The first time was my first day of training then I heard about the secret spots I could park at on the weekends and evenings. I have always said that the reason I don’t park in the employee parking lot is because I have watched to many horror films that has a nurse walking to her car late at night or real early in the morning and she then drops her keys and when she gets back up someone attacks her in the parking lot! Good excuse huh? Or too many horror films? We are very safe in Burbank, no one has ever had a bit of trouble. We have great security throughout the Hospital.
