Today is my sister Jan’s Birthday! She always spends her Birthday’s in Palm Springs with her friends that live there. I will see her hopefully on Monday when she gets back. I got her something she really needs. I actually picked it up in AZ when we were there last weekend. Jan is 3 years younger than me.

Yesterday I finally watched “Swing Vote” with Kevin Costner, it was funny and touching too. I actually liked it a lot. I had been holding onto it for over 3 weeks now. It had been to Murrieta with me twice and we never ended up watching it, and it even went with us to AZ and back without watching it. Since there is not a lot on TV right now I will have plenty of time to watch my Netflix DVD’s. I am going to watch today “Last Chance Harvey” with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson both favorite actors of mine. Not much else going on for me today before I go to work. I might go to OSH which is just around the corner from me and pick up some annuals to replace my shabby looking ones in my pots on the porch by my front door.

I am so sad that almost all my shows have come to an end. I had even cut back on my Netflix DVD’s for just 1 at a time starting in June and now I think I will change it back? A few of my shows have been canceled. Without a Trace after 7 years gone and a new show Eleventh Hour gone. But it looks like a bunch of new ones are premiering next year. I am sure as soon as I get hooked they will be canceled too!

We had a wonderful 5 day Holiday/Birthday weekend. Paul was very happy to see a lot of people he had not seen in awile at the Wheeler Inn in Parker. AZ. It was not as hot as I expected the first couple of days and it was sort of humid right by the River. Saturday it really heated up to 105. We stayed in the water most of the afternoons and early evenings. At night after dinner there was a lot of partying going on. I don’t drink so the kids hung out with their friends most late nights without me. Paul and Lisa are not drinkers but they don’t mind hanging out with drinkers. I hung out in the motor home with Buster and Cooper watching TV on their 42″ flat screen while all the partying was going on. My kind of camping. We also went to visit the Star’s across the way at Blue River Lagoon where they live year round since they retired, they are really nice people. They went with us to Yellowstone last July and are going to Yosimite in July with about 7 other families. We are going to be a really big group.
