Today we are having a Halloween Party at work. Our company is supplying the meat that we are going to BBQ, Carne asada and chicken. All the employees are bringing side dishes and desserts. I made my Ambrosia salad last night to bring plus I bought some bags of candy to put in a cute Halloween basket on my desk. Last year I dressed up this year I am not. But I will take pictures of everyone’s costumes. Here is a picture of me and a co worker Josie from last year. I am the one with the Chucky mask.

A Frustrating Week So Far!

Yesterday I called my house to check my voicemail and all I got was a click and then it went dead. No voicemail at all, and it was that way for 7 hours. I called the repair service and they put a ticket in at about 3:00. When I stopped home on my way to my hair appointment to check to see if my phone even worked at all? There was a dial tone but the voicemail was still down. After I got home at 6:30 it was back up and running. Only 5 days into this new service and the voicemail goes down. I am hoping this was an isolated incident. Or I will not be a happy camper. There is a 30 day trial period if I want to switch back. I also lost my free Flickr Pro account because I don’t have the prodigy email account anymore so only 5 of my sets were visible I had to pay $24.95 to upgrade to get all my pictures back. What a snowball effect changing my phone service has had on me, loosing my email address I had for 9 1/2 years and now loosing my Flickr Pro free account. So far it has cost me $24.95 a year for the Pro Flickr account and $19.95 a year for the yahoo plus account so I can receive emails in my Incredimail program. So now we are at a $46 a month I am saving switching phone service, that still is a pretty good savings.

My Space Salute

I just about updated all the accounts I can think of with my new email address. When I went to My Space to update it it wanted to confirm my change of email address by sending a confirmation code to my old email address, problem is that account is gone. So I went to the help section and this is the solution. If for some reason you can’t access your old email account, you’ll have to email help@support.myspace.com. Send them a salute along with the new email address you want to use. Now this is the funny part, the “salute”. This is the shortened version.

Account Suspended!

Published by Dru under Computers, News

I have had the same email account from the first day I got my first computer 9 1/2 years ago. I had an old dial up account thru prodigy. I then upgraded when it was available in my area to prodigy DSL, then they became SBC but I still kept that prodigy email account. When the high speed cable internet became available thru Charter, I switched to that but I still kept my old prodigy dial up account active. I did not want to give up that email address. For some strange reason yesterday morning when I tried to log into my account via Incredmail it would not work. I called AT&T and they found the account right away and said it was just a credit card issue and that it had been suspended. I thought that really weird but I gave them my credit card info and they said it was reactivated and would take about 2-4 hours to come back up. It never came back I called after 6 hours and at that point they no longer could find any account with my phone number at all and that was after being on the phone and transfer ed all over for over an hour. Then all of a sudden I realized my home phone was now with Charter cable and that must of wiped out my account. Prodigy has been gone so long how could I get that exact email account back?? It is gone for good. I spent over 3 hours trying to update my important accounts with my my new email address and not to mention I had to upgrade to yahoo plus so that I could receive emails in Incredimail and setting that up was not easy. I had to finally just let Incredimail install it automatically and that worked fine. So I am still trying to remember what are all the accounts I have to change now. I was not a happy camper yesterday but hey I am now saving myself $21 a month that I paid to just keep that email address and yahoo plus only cost $19.95 for a year $2 a month, so change is good I keep telling myself. “Change is good” Continue Reading »
