We had a mini thunderstorm yesterday. It was completely unexpected. There was a lot of thunder and a pretty good downpour in the morning. It did clear up after a couple of hours. Kind of nice for a change. It is suppose to be back into the 80’s & 90’s today. Last night I worked at the Hospital from 5:30-8:30. It was another easy shift there. I started watching DWTS there and then stopped on my way home and grabbed a Karen salad and ate while watching the rest of DWTS at home. I think Cloris or Kim will go tonight. I also got to watch Miami CSI then it was bedtime.

I have been going a little crazy on eBay. I won over the weekend a cute pair of black jeans with rhinestones on the cuffs and 3 new tops! I got the jeans for 1/3 of what they cost at Nordstrom’s. All these clothes I am bidding on and winning are all brand new. It is a wide open market on eBay now I guess because of the economy. I am also bidding on a cute Brighton purse. When and if I win it I will post a picture.

I almost forgot last night Survivor was on. I did get called into work at the Hospital last night, but just for 2 hours, Sam was not feeling well. I picked up a Cobb salad and ate it while watching the first 2 hour episode of the season. It always takes awhile to get acquainted with all the new Survivor’s. I have a little crush on the resident Doctor There is a 2004 Olympic gold medalist, a 29-year-old actress from the “Gilmore Girls”, a couple lawyers also. It looks like it is going to be an interesting season.

Wednesday’s title was “could things get any worst?” things got worst!! My friend was laid off yesterday. She was out on Wednesday when they laid 4 employees off, so she was let go yesterday after 10 years employed there as their Executive Assistant. I was shocked and really sad. We have worked together closely for 6 years. I think the lay offs are done for now. It is very unsettling there right now. Everyone seems to be walking on eggshells. Hopefully today will be a better day for all of us.
