On Vacation!!!! |
Today I am working both jobs back to back. When I get off at midnight hopefully I can fall asleep right away! I need to get up at 4:00 AM, get ready and finish packing my car, then head to the kid’s house at 5:00 AM. Paul wants to be on the road at 7:00 AM sharp. Our first stop will be Bryce National Park, Utah, it is an 8-hour drive. We will be staying outside the park at a place called Ruby’s Inn. They have a lodge and a RV park. I have stayed there before it is very nice. We will be there a few days then head to our main destination Yellowstone National Park ,Wyoming. That will be a 10-hour drive. We will be staying there for a week, there is a lot to see! We have a few fun things already planned, on my Birthday July 3rd we have reservations for dinner at the Old Faithful Inn. Paul has also booked a wagon ride and BBQ/Cookout on July 4th. Our final destination will be Zion National Park in Utah. We will stay there a few days then head home. I will be back home Saturday July 12th, Have a wonderful 4th of July!! See you in 2 weeks!

Hangin with the 2 Grandma’s! |
An update to the hostage situation which had Debbie spending the night at my house while her husband was stuck in their house not able to leave. When I woke up at about 6:00 I looked downstairs to see if Debbie was still on the couch sleeping and she was gone. I found out later her Husband called her at 5:15 AM and told her the situation was over, so she drove home and got ready for work. Poor guy was awake all night because of all the police activity and all the dogs in the neighborhood were barking. The guy they had chased in the car had run into a house a few doors down from theirs, where we found out from the news was where he lived. They were able to get him to give up up without shooting him. Debbie’s husband said that he had heard many gunshots earlier when the whole thing first started. Crazy stuff!

Hostage Situation! |
This is going to be a short post. It is after 10:30 PM and Debbie just called me and she is on her way over to spend the night. There was some sort of hostage situation on her street and the police would not let her go home. Even though her husband was in the house. She had been trying to go home since around 6:00 when she got off work. Her husband gets home early so it all happened after he was already there. I had just walked in the door from the movies when she called. Speaking of movies we both really loved the Incredible Hulk, like I said before I am not a BIG super hero fan at all, but after seeing Iron Man which I loved I knew I had to see this especially since it had Edward Norton in it and I just love him. William Hurt, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth were also great in it. The very last scene of the movie Tony Stark “Iron Man” shows up to talk to the General, William Hurt. Looks like there will be a sequel for sure! Tonight Justin, Chris and I are getting together for dinner and maybe some shopping. Oh, Joe did not go with us last night he is sick. Nothing worst than being sick in the Summer!!

Duh!! |
Duh is what I said when Justin called me at work yesterday afternoon to pick him up from his cousins house after work. I thought he was coming back on Tuesday and I did not know they were in Mammoth for Motocross. Another big DUH! I thought they were just camping. His Uncle and Jason were in the races. Justin was working the pit. One of his favorite riders was there Jeremy McGrath. Here is a picture he took of him. He was very excited he got all kinds of autographs on his T shirt from the Supercross racers.
