Hot & Cold |
They are now saying that this is the coolest July in So Cal’s history. We broke heat records last week but the week before the beginning of July it was unseasonably cool. This last week we barely hit the 80’s which I am very happy with. Cool is good to me!

“Hot in the city” |
It was a very hot weekend, and I read that it is one of the hottest July’s ever in this country. I was inside most of the weekend. But the few times I was out it was just awful. I am hoping we cool down a tad this week. The Billy Idol song kept going on in my head “Hot in the city” Stranger, stranger, stranger, stranger it’s hot here at night, lonely, black and quiet on a hot summer night, don’t be afraid of the world we made on a hot summer night cause when a long-legged lovely walks by yeah you can see the look in her eye then you know that it’s hot in the city, hot in the city tonight, tonight hot in the city, hot in the city tonight, tonight hot in the city, hot in the city tonight, tonight.

Summertime and the livin’ is easy |
Today is the first official day of Summer! My title do you remember that song? It was another great weekend. Work wasn’t too crazy. The weather was perfect in the 80’s and I was able to watch The Edge of Darkness with Mel Gibson on Saturday before work it was not bad at all. Poor Mel isn’t the handsome guy he use to be! Sunday after work I watched From Paris With Love with John Travolta now that was very good.

Great Weekend and Warm Week Ahead |
My weekend was great! I worked but was able to watch my 2 Netflix DVD’s Paranormal Activity it was really good. A simple movie and not REAL scary but very interesting if you believe in that kind of stuff. Daybreakers with Ethan Hawke, Willem Defoe and Sam Neil it was not all that good but I enjoyed it, it was a modern day vampire movie. I never did get the chance to see the A Team but on Sunday after work Joe and I went to dinner at Islands but there was a 40 minute wait so we headed up the street to Don Cuco’s Mexican restaurant, we both had their Caribbean Chicken Salad grilled chicken, pineapple, tomato, sliced avocado, raisins, black beans, pico de gallo and monterey jack cheese over crisp iceberg lettuce, served with a vinaigrette dressing and garnished with crispy tortilla strips. It is not too big and it is yummy. I am back to walking 1 -2 miles again. I walked after Joe dropped me off last night since there really wasn’t much on TV.
