It is official I am on vacation. The good news is that the kids are going to come up here this evening so I will leave for Yosemite from home tomorrow morning! No driving to their house and then having to drive back home when we get back!! We will be gone 10 days and we have lots of fun stuff planned. My DIL made all the plans, so nice to have everything taken care of for you! White water rafting, Jamestown the Ahwahnee Hotel for dinner for my Birthday to name a few of the things that we have planned. I wanted to scan some pictures I had taken throughout the years of David and I backpacking to Half Dome and the Upper and Lower falls but I just did not have the time to go through all my books. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend and see you back July 13th.

I wrote a new post before I left for work yesterday and I must of forgot to publish it because when I got to work and looked for it later on in the evening it was gone? And I can’t rememeber what I wrote about? Well anyway I cannot believe that June is almost over and tomorrow is my last day of working Naomi’s shift. She will be back Wednesday after being out for almost 3 months. And Wednesday my 10 day vacation starts. I got my nails done last night on my dinner break from work and picked up dinner to take back with me. Today I am going to wash my clothes and organize the ones I am going to take on my trip. We will be staying at a place right outside the entrance to Yosemite National Park called Yosemite Pines RV Resort. There is going to be 4 of us in motor homes and 12 people staying in 3 cabins. I am still not sure if I am going to drive down to the kids house Wednesday night or if they will be coming up Wednesday night and park in Chris big circular driveway and then pick me up in the AM? They do have to drive my way to get to Yosemite. I am hoping they will do that, so that will save me a drive back and forth. I will know tomorrow what they are going to do.

It really heated up over the weekend. We were having unseasonably cool weather all month. It heated up to normal summer weather in the 90’s so it was a hot and fun weekend for me. Saturday Debbie and I had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory at the Americana at Brand. We both had the yummy Cashew Chicken salad which I had had with Darylynn on Thursday. Debbie loved it too. We walked around a little and shopped, they were also having a Farmer’s Market with all kinds of goodies. Debbie picked up some fresh sourdough bread for her hubby. We were out of there by around 1:30 and heading home. We both had to be to work she at 3:00 and me at 3:30.

I had a great time with Darylynn yesterday, she treated me to lunch for my Birthday at The Cheesecake Factory. I tried one of their new salads, Chicken Cashew. It was really good and I took a piece of Banana Cream Cheesecake home, Banana Cream Cheesecake topped with Bavarian cream and fresh sliced bananas. OMG I was in heaven, I had it for dinner! After lunch we walked around a little and I found a great pair of cropped pants at Coldwater Creek but size 8 was too big I needed a size 6 which they did not have so they called around and found them in their store in Arcadia. I went later on in the evening and picked them up. Darylynn bought a cute white top. Afterwards we went back to Darylynn’s and she helped me to understand FTP, so I downloaded that when I got home and uploaded all my files I have in cpanel through my server. So now it will be easier for me to upload new themes to WP and I have all my files on my computer now. While I was at Darylynn’s we found out that MJ was rushed to UCLA and it was Darylynn’s husband that responded to that call to his house. I am sure she will have the details in todays blog post. Before I left I had already heard he had passed away from my DIL Lisa who called me on my cell. What a day yesterday, Farrah Fawcett passing away after such a courageous battle against Cancer and then MJ suddenly from cardiac arrest. And of course Ed McMahon the other day had passed away.
